“I am absolutely obsessed. My entire family (both sides now) were so impressed and thought it was the most beautiful flower preservation we had ever seen. All we ever knew was possible was hanging it upside down to dry, and this is so much more beautiful and lasting. Caitlin and Kyle colors were champagne/blushes/mauves. They each had 7 in their parties - 4 are sisters and 2 brothers! The king protea was Caitlin’s biggest request for the bouquet and preservation -She had two large proteas in her bouquet. Caitlin contacted me months before her wedding date and we worked closely together to make sure her vision was captured. Caitlin’s made of honor lived near me so I was able to work with her for pick up and delivery since Caitlin lives several hours north.
Design Process
I had to special order a 10x10 floral block that was 5-inches thick in order to accommodate Caitlin’s king protea. Thankfully, she booked well in advance and she and I stayed in constant contact to make sure her king proteas would preserve.
Since Caitlin had two king proteas, I dried both of them and preserved one in resin and returned the other one to her to keep. They dry beautifully and will last for a long time.
